Sources & Methodology
Our guides are compiled from primary sources — the official operators, agencies and authorities that own the underlying data. When a page states a price, a timetable or a rule, the goal is that it can be traced to one of the organizations below or to a source named on the page itself.

How we verify
- Prices are checked on the operator's official site or booking flow, and stated in NOK (Norwegian kroner), the currency in which they are actually charged. Where a price is seasonal or dynamic, we state a range and say so.
- Currency conversions to USD (or GBP for UK-departure content) are approximate, rounded, and given only for orientation — the NOK price governs.
- Timetables and seasons are checked against the operator's published schedule for the season named on the page.
- Verification dates: when a page's practical details have been fully re-checked, it carries a “verified” date. No date means no full verification pass yet.
Limitations
Prices, timetables, opening hours and availability in Norway change frequently, and seasonal operations can be cancelled at short notice (weather, road closures, maintenance). Always confirm critical details — ferry departures, mountain road status, tour availability — with the operator before committing money or building a day around them. Our editorial policy describes how we handle updates and corrections.
