About Arctic Norway Tours
Arctic Norway Tours is an independent travel planning resource for Norway, with a focus on the north: the fjords, the Arctic coast, the Lofoten Islands, Tromsø, the North Cape and Svalbard. We publish practical planning guides — when to go, how to get around, what things cost, and what the trade-offs are between the different ways of seeing the same place.
What this site is — and what it is not
This site is an editorial planning tool built around official and primary sources: Norwegian transport operators, port authorities, road administrations, meteorological services and attraction operators. It is not a tour operator and does not sell trips. We do not claim to have personally tested every tour, hotel or trail we describe; where a page has been verified against primary sources, it says so and shows the verification date.
Who maintains it
Arctic Norway Tours is maintained by a small editorial and technical team. Research and drafting may use software assistance, including AI tools; facts, prices and practical details in maintained pages are checked against primary sources by a human before publication. Our editorial policy explains exactly how this works.
How the site is funded
Some pages contain affiliate links, clearly governed by our affiliate disclosure. If you book through one of those links we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide what we recommend: recommendations are based on usefulness for the trip being planned, and many of the operators we link to pay us nothing at all.
Corrections
Prices, timetables and rules in Norway change often. If you find something out of date or plainly wrong, we want to fix it: email [email protected] with the page URL and the correction, ideally with a link to a primary source.
